The message to the Washington State Republican Party #wagop came through loud and clear. Nobody cares about what happened in the ancient past. What people care about is what you believe in, what you are willing to stand up for and whether your actions back up what you say behind the microphone.

The Washington State Republican Party committed history a few short days ago in April. Among the many things that transpired over that weekend in Spokane was the party walking away with endorsing the first ever black candidate for the office of Governor in the State of Washington by an overwhelming 3-1 super majority. So much for those false facts campaign emails coming from the other side.

The party endorsed only one candidate for that high executive office and his name was not Dave Reichert.

Among other historical facts, the party resolved to investigate Attorney General Bob Ferguson for bribery, solicitation and criminal use of public funds for political gain. It also decided to do away with the 17th Amendment to the United States Constitution. That resolution states that the party will petition the United States Congress, but from a State’s Rights and local control perspective, all that really needs to be done is for the State Legislature to de-ratify it.

I’d like to extend many thanks and appreciation to all those who participated as delegates in Spokane and thank them for the work they have done, are doing and will continue to do to place Washington First and to make our State Great to Infinity Again!
