March means Madness. According to today’s ESPN Bracketology Analysis only 2 teams from the Pac 12 are expected to make it into the big dance: Washington State and Arizona. However, according to ESPN there are two teams that are projected to make it in that the Husky Men’s team beat earlier in the year: Gonzaga and Eastern Washington.

Narrow losses to Cal and in the Apple Cup, and the first half blow out against Arizona are likely going to keep UW out of the tournament this year, but a win tomorrow against USC and a win in Pullman on the 7th would level Hopkins team regular season Pac-12 record. That, coupled with a strong performance in the Pac-12 tournament may still save face for Hopkins as he enters the final year of his contract and land the Huskies in the NIT, a tournament the team hasn’t been to since Hopkins first year as head coach.
